Successful Saturday!

This morning we had a productive work day with many men from our church.

Two specific projects kept us busy for several hours:

1) Ted led a group disassembling the pews in the sanctuary. This was needed because we've contracted with a company to build us new pews, using only our ends and book racks from the current ones. So we have to salvage some of the wood for future projects (can you say "shelving?"), and trash the rest. The guys were having some fun getting their pent up frustrations out by demoing all the fabric, stables and wood boards! This will continue through the next week too as we have 52 pews on the main floor...whoaah!

2) Dave and Dave worked on ridding the toddler wing of debris from the recent demo job. This is a big job so we will again be working on this next week too. If you want to get in on the fun, see Dave Holman for your directions!

Transition plans for the HOPE Outreach Center are to relocate into the fellowship hall. We hope to start on this Sunday afternoon @ 4 pm and work for several hours that night. The rest we will get done on Monday morning!

Don't forget that we still need food donations to help stock the food pantry for ministry service which starts up again on Monday! I received some good news that Monty and Susan are bringing back some goods/supplies from the Bloomington Wal Mart...little by little the need is met by a great and mighty God! Can you help us with a box or two of non-perishable groceries?

Looking forward to our 5th worship service in our satellite location (a.k.a. "borrowed church"). It's gonna be another great experience with God and each other. Each week gets better and better as we depend totally upon our Lord! Lord, reveal yourself in fresh new ways to our congregation...we desperately need your touch and your faithful provision in this desert land!

I want you to pick up your team t-shirt with the HOPE Outreach Center logo on them. They are hot off the press...literally! Ten bucks buys you a team shirt and helps out our Flood Fund in the process. See Allison or Pastor Joel tomorrow @ service for yours. We have 100 t-shirts printed in all different sizes...first come - first served!

As always, I'm believing God to meet our needs in moving this mountain of finances in the rebuilding project. I firmly believe that God will help us rebuild DEBT FREE! You can go to our website and make a donation. Thanks so much! www.columbusfirstassembly.org

All of us here @ CFA are stretching our faith to experience "BEYOND ALL LIMITS" in 2008! We are witnessing the miraculous each and every day. More Lord...

Love to all!
