Don't you just love the Word. It's full of truth...full of power...and full of direction. God's Word says, "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way." - Psalms 37:23
Well, I've taken a lot of steps since the great FLOOD OF '08 when our church, family, community, homes, neighbors, businesses, schools and county were devastated back on 6.07.08. It will forever be remembered as the day that shut down Columbus...shut down our hospital...plus shut down a main chunk of our city.
But...let me explain and describe to you that from that very moment the streams and riverbeds overflowed beyond all previous historic marks, our church and city have been changed dramatically as well...revolutionized and transformed. It's hard to describe...you gotta live here...you gotta work here...you gotta be flooded out of your dwelling place...you gotta get flooded out of your house of worship to be in my shoes. You have no idea what it does to you if you've never experienced what we've experienced. As a result of this disaster I've been transformed into a community relief leader while pastoring a church in crisis, leading a reconstruction effort, watching God do incredible and unbelievable things beyond all limits...just like we prayed the night before in our BAL Prayer Meeting. (Would you believe that this specific prayer point of what we prayed in our prayer meeting somehow made it into the newspaper...it was included in an unusual part of the paper...but there it was...what our church had prayed and what I had declared in faith...friend, watch out for what you pray for!)
Yes, I agree wholeheartedly with this scriptural promise of God's Word. God really does guide your steps...even when you don't know where you are going or how you are going to make it to the other side. God has guided our steps. God has led us by the hand. God has shined His light upon our path. God has orchestrated miracle after miracle before my very eyes. Though we've never been this way before and have no idea what we are doing I can testify to the power of this promise. God has made Himself known to me in a way that I've never known Him before. He is...
- The Way, the Truth and the Life.
- The Ultimate Provider.
- The Strength of My Life.
- The Architect of CFA's future.
- The One who holds my hand.
- The Light in the Darkness.
- The Alpha and the Omega...the beginning and the end.
- The Strong Protector.
- The Safe Fortress that we run into.
- The HOPE giver!!
Started the day with a disaster relief meeting that I attended with my new friends and partners in ministry: Monty and Susan. Great fellowship. Great networking. Great encouragement through these sessions. Thanks Lord for the steps you ordered for my Tuesday!
Tonight we had our mid-week gathering at the satellite location. Though down in numbers, understandably so, we were up in spirit and increased in our faith, unity and togetherness. My group of adults were pumped with what God is doing. They shared stories, experiences, and testimonies of God's faithfulness! They see what God is doing. They see how God is changing and transforming our church into a transformation center of HOPE for our community! Praise God!
Tomorrow we prepare for another HUGE Convoy of Hope Outreach that we will launch next Monday. We will unload these blessings and wonderful supplies with care into our fellowship hall. We will work to get the message out. We will pray for God to use our church again in a BEYOND ALL LIMITS kind of way. We will expectantly enlarge the harvest in Columbus, Indiana!! Lord, guide our steps as we pursue your perfect will in all of this! Lead us to the right people that need to experience your HOPE, SALVATION and LOVE!
We continue to believe and expect MIRACLES of INCREDIBLE BEYOND ALL LIMITS proportions as we move with continuous steps of forward faith and active love.
Thanks for praying for us. Thanks for helping us. Thanks for staying informed with our incredible journey of wonder.
Love to all.
