NDP in Columbus

The National Day of Prayer Task Force is once again leading the charge in sponsoring two main events here in Columbus, Indiana.

Currently, we are leading a Bible Reading Marathon which started on Monday, May 3rd @ Noon and runs through Thursday, May 6th @ Noon. That's 72 solid hours of sewing God's Word into the fabric of our community...priceless!! This translates into 360 readers reading 12 minutes each from over 40 different churches. This requires 24 captains to organize their teams into a well-oiled reading machine. This is a huge project that blesses the heart of God with each believers' commitment and dedication to the cause of Jesus Christ.

The Bible Reading Marathon culminates into the Community Gathering Service on the steps of City Hall from Noon to 1 pm on May 6th. Our committee has been planning this special community gathering for several months and we look forward to what God has in store for us. Over 120 churches have been contacted in Bartholomew County to participate in such an event. Wouldn't it be awesome to witness hundreds of Christians gathering at City Hall to pray for our city, our country and our world? Let me encourage you to put this event on your calendar and join us for this powerful prayer service!

The pictures captured above reveal the sights of our Bible Reading Marathon going on right now. If you live in Bartholomew County or surrounding areas come on by and show your support for the proclamation of God's Holy Word!

Love to all!
