Pastor Jeff Johnson & Pastor Trenton
On July 31st we helped to pack up Trenton's belongings and move him to his new ministry position and residence in Versailles, Kentucky (outside of Lexington). Since his graduation (and my last blog post) the Lord has directed Trenton's steps to working with Pastor Jeff Johnson at King's Way A/G. He will be serving as the Youth Pastor for King's Way Church.
We were excited to see where our son will be serving the Lord and where he will be living. We had the opportunity to tour the church, see the community, help him get settled into his new office, and move him into his new temporary residence. Trenton has been given a great opportunity to reach, teach and train the students of King's Way Church and Versailles to become world changers for Jesus Christ!
It was also a joy to meet and fellowship with Trenton's Lead Pastor, Jeff Johnson, his wife Lisa and their three daughters. They are a loving family with a strong passion for ministry in this church and community. There is no doubt they will love our son like one of their own.
We are excited to watch how the Lord directs each of our children's steps as they follow the Lord. Tammy and I are so blessed with great children who love God, desire to be in His will and serve the Lord faithfully.
Love the verse from which we raised our four children:
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).
If you have children, guide their steps toward a relationship with Jesus Christ, encourage and instruct them in the ways of the Lord, correct them with love, pray diligently over them, lead them into ministry opportunities, and then finally release them to obey God's call upon their lives. What a joy it is to see your kids serving Jesus!
God, you have blessed me and my wife beyond measure! Thank you for honoring your Word!!
