Pastor Jeff Johnson & Pastor Trenton
On July 31st we helped to pack up Trenton's belongings and move him to his new ministry position and residence in Versailles, Kentucky (outside of Lexington). Since his graduation (and my last blog post) the Lord has directed Trenton's steps to working with Pastor Jeff Johnson at King's Way A/G. He will be serving as the Youth Pastor for King's Way Church.
We were excited to see where our son will be serving the Lord and where he will be living. We had the opportunity to tour the church, see the community, help him get settled into his new office, and move him into his new temporary residence. Trenton has been given a great opportunity to reach, teach and train the students of King's Way Church and Versailles to become world changers for Jesus Christ!
It was also a joy to meet and fellowship with Trenton's Lead Pastor, Jeff Johnson, his wife Lisa and their three daughters. They are a loving family with a strong passion for ministry in this church and community. There is no doubt they will love our son like one of their own.
We are excited to watch how the Lord directs each of our children's steps as they follow the Lord. Tammy and I are so blessed with great children who love God, desire to be in His will and serve the Lord faithfully.
Love the verse from which we raised our four children:
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).
If you have children, guide their steps toward a relationship with Jesus Christ, encourage and instruct them in the ways of the Lord, correct them with love, pray diligently over them, lead them into ministry opportunities, and then finally release them to obey God's call upon their lives. What a joy it is to see your kids serving Jesus!
God, you have blessed me and my wife beyond measure! Thank you for honoring your Word!!

On May 1st and 2nd we were in Springfield, Missouri for Trenton's graduation from Evangel University. It's hard to believe that it was four years ago that we dropped him off @ CBC and helped him get settled into his new dorm room (two pictures below). He has grown, matured and developed into a fine young man ready for service in the Kingdom of God!
Now Trenton has received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Leadership and Preaching. We all are very proud of Trenton and know that God has His hand upon our son for some incredible assignments in the ministry. Only God knows the plans that He has prepared for him and the journey that he will be traveling from this point on. One thing we are sure of, God has called him and set him apart for His glory and honor, to declare His majestic name among this generation.
Here is a scripture verse I want to leave for my son:
"May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."
(Psalm20:4)
Trenton, I love you son! I am proud of your many accomplishments. I am proud of your completing the mission you set out four years ago to achieve. You have a great heart for the lost...never lose that! You have a passionate drive to serve...never forfeit that! You have a dynamic and engaging personality...never exchange that! God made you YOU!
You have a bright and shining future. May the Lord keep you in the hollow of His hand and greatly use you in ways that you never dreamed of...all for His glory! Point souls to the cross. Direct hearts to the living water. Lead people to Christ. Win souls for Jesus!

2014 Theme for OAG
Our church began the New Year with a key theme and scripture verse to guide us. Our Week of Prayer in January was exceptional! Our first month of ministry was outstanding! Looking forward to the ongoing Sermon Series for February entitled, "Really?"
If you live anywhere in the Metro East area please come and join us for one of our worship experiences, bible studies, LIFE groups or ministry events. We have witnessed visitors driving from 45 minutes out to see what God is doing here @ O'Fallon Assembly!
2014 is going to be a banner year! To God be the glory..great things He has done and is doing!!
